After a year of turmoil, Hoover is back in familiar territory. Friday night the Bucs beat Mountain Brook 30-20 to advance to the Alabama 6A semifinals. This one was never in doubt as Hoover built a 30-7 first half lead on the Spartans, who last week beat nationally-ranked Tuscaloosa County. Next week the Bucs (12-1) will play Huntsville (10-3).
