Sweet Water Adds Another Alabama State Football Championship

Sweet Water captured its 9th Alabama high school football championship Thursday beating R.A. Hubbard 36-0 in the Class 1A title game.

The victory was the 100th of Sweet Water head coach Stacy Luker's career. The Press-Register reports that the Bulldogs were helped by the return of senior Chris Landrum, who missed a significant amount of playing time.

Sweet Water has now won four of the last five 1A titles.
